If you have stumbled across this website for the first time, you may think we are only concerned about bringing advice on the best floor jacks for cars, but fear not we also cover motorcycle jacks (also known as motorcycle lifts).
When it comes to choosing it’s easy to become confused as to which one to choose to fit your needs.
There are two main types of motorcycle jacks, or lifts as they are often called. Hydraulic Jacks are now most popular, but there are still many motorcycle owners who prefer the scissor Jacks, both Jacks will work perfectly fine, it really comes down to personal choice and perhaps budget as the hydraulic Jacks tend to be a little more expensive.
There are so many different types and price ranges that choosing the one that’s right for you can be a daunting and confusing task.
When choosing your Jack the main thing you will want to keep in mind is the weight of the motorcycle you are looking to use it on.
The Jacks we recommend the most come with a weight capacity ranging from 1100 pounds up to 1700 pounds for the PowerZone Hydraulic motorcycle jack (my personal favorite bike Jack).
Most Jacks will come equipped to handle both standard 2 wheel motorcycles and ATV 4 wheel style bikes.
Personally I recommend the PowerZone model as it takes the most weight of the Jacks we own, you can’t be too safe when working under your bike.
The foot pedal pump hydraulic Jacks are our choice as well, as it allows you to keep your hands free to do other things, even if its justly providing even more stability for the motor cycle.
Features you want to ensure you have
- Foot pedal pump
- Hydraulic action
- Removable handle for storage
- Safety locks to keep the cargo stable
- High weight capacity (min 1100 lbs)
- Steele Construction
